Privacy and Confidentiality for Tacteon Systems

Tacteon collects personal information for the purpose of identification and distinguishing people from one another when users register with Colligo and its other information systems.

Name, gender, birth date, postal code and email address are a few of the pieces of information that ensure that users are not anonymous to us.


Tacteon collects information about transactions, such invoices and payments from customers who subscribe to Tacteon services. 


Tacteon systems automatically receive and record information from user computers and browsers, including IP addresses, cookie information, software and hardware attributes, and requested pages.


Tacteon uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the system functionality and content, fulfill requests for products and services, improve services, and contact users.


Information Sharing and Disclosure

Tacteon does not rent, sell, or share user information with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services requested. For example:


We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with Tacteon under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use personal information to support system integration, eg. single sign-on.


We respond to disclosure demands if permitted or required by law including responding to warrants, subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.


We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities including suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Tacteon's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. We will transfer information about users if Tacteon is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Tacteon will notify users before information about them is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.


Tacteon does not provide any personal information to advertisers.


Cookies.

Tacteon systems are accessible via web browsers. Our systems install cookies for the purpose of maintaining continuity of user experience while logged on, and for no other purpose.


Editing of User Accounts

UsersŐ ability to edit and delete account information and preferences. 


Users are able to edit demographic information and selected security information, such as username and password, in their user accounts at any time.


Retirement of User Accounts

Tacteon personnel will have their user accounts deactivated in relation to events such as extended leave or dismissal, for example.  Other user accounts are managed by Tacteon customers through automated means, such as automated deactivation for invalid passwords, or manually: such as when customers require immediate deactivation of a user account.
